Year 11 visit to Roehampton
On Thursday, we took some Year 11s to a National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) event at the University of Roehampton where students performed tasks and activities to prepare them for exams and ultimately, University. They took part in an Exam Buster session which included practise of different revision styles, effective ways to revise and useful tips to destress.
Students then listened to a seminar led by the NCOP team regarding the process of University applications. They underwent an activity to discuss factors important to them in the search for higher education, and learned to withdraw important information from University prospectuses. Students improved specific revision skills which will be useful in the coming years, and developed a stronger sense of their journey to University.
